Eagles Finish Regular Season at Shippensburg

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.- The Juniata men's track & field team competed in their final regular season meet on Saturday, competing in the Paul Kaiser Invitational at Shippensburg, in preparation for the Landmark Championships on May 8th and 9th.

The throwing duo of Brenden Nauman (Myerstown, Pa. / ELCO) and Barrett Walters (Mifflintown, Pa. / Juniata) both competed in multiple events on the day. They began the day with the Hammer Throw, where Walters placed 15th with a distance of 39.92m, while Nauman was 25th at 30.62m. Walters then placed 20th in the Discus Throw with a best mark of 34.22m. He finished his day with the Javelin, where he finished in 8th place with a distance of 49.52m.

Turning to the track, the day began with Zion Gomez (Chesapeake, Va. / Grassfield) placing 42nd in the 100 Meters with a time of 11.87 seconds. Gomez also ran in the 200 Meters, along with Andrew Donlan (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area) and Ari Tendo (Ottawa, Canada / Beaconsfield (Quebec)). Donlan was 30th with a time of 23.87 seconds, while Tendo was 42nd at 24.47 seconds and Gomez was 45th at 24.66 seconds. Donlan and Tendo both competed in the 400 Meters, alongside Thomas Cope (Fogelsville, Pa. / Allentown Central Catholic). Donlan finished 32nd in the 400 with a time of 54.12 seconds, Tendo placed 37th at 57.01 seconds, and Cope was 40th at 59.60 seconds. Cope was the sole Juniata runner in the 800 Meters, where he placed 55th with a time of 2:19.73. The four then teamed up to compete in the 4x100 Meter Relay, finishing 10th with a time of 46.46 seconds.
