SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The men's track and field team traveled to Shippensburg Wednesday to compete in the Ship Mid-Week meet.
In the hammer throw, Barrett Walters (Mifflintown, Pa. / Juniata (Kutztown)) took fifth in program history and placed seventh at the meet with a personal record (PR) mark of 41.79 meters while Brenden Nauman (Myerstown, Pa. / ELCO) placed 12th with a mark of 34.71 meters.
Andrew Donlan (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area) placed 16th in 100 meter and set a PR with a time of 11.67 while Zion Gomez (Chesapeake, Va. / Grassfield) placed 21st with a time of 12.01. In the 800 meter, Thomas Cope (Fogelsville, Pa. / Allentown Central Catholic) placed 17th with a time of 2:21.93. Donlan placed 13th in the 200 meter with a time of 23.92 while Ari Tendo (Ottawa, Canada / Beaconsfield (Quebec)) placed 15th with a time of 24.56 and Gomez placed 17th with a time of 25.14.
Ellis Kline (Corvallis, Ore. / Corvallis) set a PR coming in tenth in the 5000 meter with a time of 18:00.75. In the 4x400 meter relay, Donlan, Tendo, Gomez, and Cope placed fourth with a time of 3:46.94.
The Eagles travel to Moravian Saturday, April 23 for the Coach P Invitational.
