Track and Field Competes in Millersville Metrics

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The men's and women's track teams traveled to Millersville Saturday to compete in the Millersville Metrics. 

In the hammer throw, Nandee Correia (Stroudsburg, Pa. / Stroudsburg) placed 22nd and threw 37.46 meters, placed ninth in the shot put, and threw 11.17 meters. 

In the 100 meter dash, Rebecca Christophel (Three Springs, Pa. / Southern Huntingdon) placed 54th with a time of 14.29 and 27th in the 400 meter with a time of 1:05.03. Emily Vogt (Fairfield, Conn. / Fairfield Warde) placed 22nd in the 1500 meter with a time of 5:21.93 and 40th in the 400 meter with a time of 2:46.40. In the 200 meter, Christophel placed 44th with a time of 29.21.

The Eagles travel to Messiah next Friday. 

In the hammer throw, Brenden Nauman (Myerstown, Pa. / ELCO) placed 14th and threw 38.02 meters while Barrett Walters (Mifflintown, Pa. / Juniata (Kutztown) placed 18thand threw 36.19 meters. Walters placed 18th and threw 34.41 meters in discus 49.60 meters in the javelin. Nauman placed fourth and threw a personal record of 56.71 meters in the javelin.

In the 5000 meter, Ellis Kline(Corvallis, Ore. / Corvallis) ran in 18:25.96 and placed 32nd. In the 100 meter dash, Andrew Donlan (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area) placed 37th with a time of 11.76 while Zion Gomez (Chesapeake, Va. / Grassfield) placed 42nd with a time of 11.85. Thomas Cope (Fogelsville, Pa. / Allentown Central Catholic) paced 13th in the 800 meter 2:19.53. In the 200 meter, Donlan placed 30th with a time of 23:90, Ari Tendo (Ottawa, Canada / Beaconsfield (Quebec) placed 32nd with a time of 24.07, Gomez placed 44th with a time of 24:91. The 400 meter relay of Cope, Donlan, Gomez, and Tendo placed 14th with a time of 3:48.20.

The Eagles travel to Messiah next Friday.
