Throwers Compete In Day One of Jim Taylor Invitational

SELINSGROVE, Pa.- The throwers of the men's and women's track and field teams competed in Day 1 of the Jim Taylor Invitational at Susquehanna University on Friday, with the Hammer Throw and Shot Put events being held for both the men and women.

For the men, Brenden Nauman (Myerstown, Pa. / ELCO) placed 18th in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 38.31m, while Barrett Walters (Mifflintown, Pa. / Juniata) placed 26th with his distance of 36.06m.

Nandee Correia (Stroudsburg, Pa. / Stroudsburg) represented the Eagle women, competing in both the Hammer Throw and Shot Put. She placed 13th in the Shot Put with a distance of 10.32m, while earning 26th in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 33.35m.

The invitational will resume tomorrow, with track & field events throughout the day, scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM.
