Walters Places in Top Five All-Time at Juniata in Weight Throw

BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The Juniata men's track and field team competed at the Moravian Invitational on Saturday afternoon. 

Andrew Donlan (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area HS) placed 20th in the 60-meter race at 7.63. Zion Gomez placed 22nd at 7.70 and Ari Tendo (Beaconsfield (Quebec)) placed 23rd by running a 7.74. Donlan also placed 19th in the 200-meters clocking in at 25.13. Tendo placed 22nd at 25.37 and Gomez placed 28th at 25.95. 

Evan Thomas (Ebensburg, Pa. / Central Cambria HS) ran a 2:16.23 and placed 18th in the 800-meters race while Ellis Kline (Corvallis, Ore. / Corvallis HS) placed 23rd and ran a 2:28.11 and Thomas Cope (Fogelsville, Pa. / Allentown Central Catholic) finished 24th at 2:38.51. Thomas also ran in the 1-mile race and placed 15th at 4:56.13. Kline placed 22nd in the 1-mile race at 5:41.55 and Cope placed 23rd at 5:46.89.

In the field, Cameron Lasinsky (Summerhill, Pa. / Central Cambria HS) placed 10th in the long jump at 5.92m and Wyatt Ledeboer (Orefield, Pa. / Northwestern Lehigh HS) placed 14th at 5.68m. At the triple jump, Lasinsky placed 6th by jumping 12.60m. 

Barrett Walters (Mifflintown, Pa. / Juniata HS) thew 12.32 in the weight throw to put himself at 12th in the meet and 5th on the all-time Juniata record book for weight throw. Brenden Nauman (Myerstown, Pa. / ELCO) placed 16th with 11.05m. 

The Juniata track and field team will compete again on January 28th at Franklin & Marshall.
