Men's Tennis Tames Wildcats

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.- The Juniata men's tennis team picked up their second win in as many days as they won at Penn College, 6-3, Thursday afternoon at the Penn College Tennis Courts. 

Martin Munoz and Utsav Deravariya won a hard-fought 8-6 match at first doubles, while Dillon Murphy and Ezenna Emuka won with ease, 8-0, at third doubles. Axel Chabbert and Kyle Louder lost at second doubles, 8-5. 

Munoz was victoriously at first singles, 8-7, Deravariya dropped a 6-0,6-3 decision at second singles, while Chabbert needed three sets to grab a 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 win at third singles. Murphy won 6-1, 6-1 at fourth singles; Louder fell at fifth singles 6-0, 6-3, while Emuka took care of business at sixth singles, 6-0, 6-0. 

Head coach Nick Margiasso said this after the match "All it takes is one spark to start a fire, and the guys and girls are hot right now. Two straight for the boys and better performances in each match for the ladies. They're cruising with earned confidence now."

Juniata is on the road this weekend as they open conference play at Drew Saturday.
