TEMPE, AZ.- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2021-22 Academic Team along with the ITA Scholar-Athletes. The Juniata men's tennis team received the team award, along with seven players being named ITA Scholar-Athletes.
Ilia Buralkin (Moscow, Russia), Ustav Dhir Deravariya (India / Sunway University), Ezenna Emuka (Houston, Texas / William B. Travis), Victor J.B. Jung (Normandy, France), William Michelson (Old Mystic, Conn. / Stonington), Robert Singer (Olney, Md. / Sherwood), and Seth Strawser (Richfield, Pa. / East Juniata) all were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
- have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
- have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale)
