READING, Pa.- The Juniata men's tennis team was on the road against Albright this afternoon and picked up a 6-3 victory.
Nate Whelan (Point Pleasant Beach, Nj / Point Pleasant Beach High School) and Keisuke Maeda (Tokyo, Japan / Nihon University) won 8-1 at third doubles, Ezenna Emuka (Houston, Texas / William B. Travis High School) and Utsav Dhir Deravariya (India / Sunway University) won 8-4 at second doubles while William Michelson (Old Mystic, Conn. / Stonington) and Seth Strawser (Richfield, Pa. / East Juniata HS) won 8-3 at first doubles to put the Eagles in the driver's seat heading into singles play.
Deravariya and Whelen got wins at sixth (6-2, 6-3) and fifth singles (6-2, 6-1), respectively before Strawser (6-0, 6-0) won at second singles to clinch the win for JC.
The Juniata men's tennis team returns to the court tomorrow at 1:00 pm to take on Penn College.
