HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's tennis team fell to Goucher, 7-2 today as they opened up their season.

Goucher swept the Eagles in doubles, 3-0. William Michelson (Old Mystic, Conn. / Stonington) and Jackson Burnell (Bedford, Texas / L.D. Bell HS) fell, 8-0 in first doubles. Ezenna Emuka (Houston, Texas / William B. Travis HS) and Keisuke Maeda (Tokyo, Japan / Nihon University) fell, 8-0 in second doubles and Anatole Lutun (Fismes, France / HEI Lille) and Kyle Louder (Mifflintown, Pa. / Juniata H.S.) fell, 8-1 in third doubles. 

Louder won by defult at fifth singles. Maeda fell, 6-0,6-0 at third singles as he finished second. After the first two singles matches, Goucher led, 4-1. Michelson fell, 6-2, 6-1 at first singles and Burnell fell, 6-0, 6-0 at second singles. After two more singles matches, the Gophers extended their lead to 6-1. Lutun won, 6-0, 6-1 at sixth singles and Emuka fell, 6-1, 6-1 at fourth singles. 

Men's tennis travels to Susquehanna on March 31st at 3:30 pm.
