Men’s Tennis Falls To Undefeated Ursinus

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa.- The Juniata men's tennis team faced undefeated Ursinus on Saturday afternoon. The Bears won by the score of 6-3.

 

Ursinus claimed all three doubles matches. At first dubs, Dean Polisena (Adelaide, Australia/Saint Ignatius) and Roy Liberman (Montevideo, Uruguay/EIHU) were edged out by the pair of Max Oberholtzer and Paul Vecchio 9-7.

 

Liberman and Bryan Gregory (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) both went to three sets in singles play and came out with victories. Liberman knocked off Tyler Arsenault 0-6, 6-1, 7-5. Gregory defeated Dalton Lynch in a super tiebreaker 6-4, 2-6, 10-6. Daichi McAuliffe-Uchida (Wantage, N.J./High Point Regional HS) was victorious at sixth singles over Peter Shields 6-2, 6-4.

 

The Eagles return to Raffensberger Courts next Friday when they host Moravian in their Landmark Conference opener. Match time is at 1 p.m.
