HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata men's tennis team fought hard but was unable to capture their 14th win of the year, Saturday afternoon. Despite the loss, however, the Eagles finished with an impressive 13-6 record.
On the Eagles' side of the ball, the day belonged to senior Brice Morey (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro). Playing in his last home match as a member of the Juniata men's tennis program, Morey was impressive, yet again. Celebrating his senior day, Morey took a straight set singles victory and paired with junior Justin Wisniewski (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) to win 8-4 in doubles.
Also impressive were junior Elliott Perow (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) and freshman Bryan Gregory (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley). The doubles pair rallied from a deep early deficit to earn a remarkable win in the No. 2 doubles position.
The Eagles now await word on whether or not they have clinched a playoff berth in the Landmark Conference tournament.
