HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College men's tennis team swept competition at home Saturday. Juniata (10-4, 2-1 Landmark) took down Landmark Conference rival U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, 9-0, before defeating York College, 7-2, in the finale of a doubleheader. The Eagles have now won five matches straight and remain undefeated at home, 4-0.
Junior Justin Wisniewski (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) went undefeated at the No. 1 position. He and partner, senior Brice Morey (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro), swept No. 1 doubles. The pair have now won five straight. Wisniewski also only gave up five games across two matches at the No. 1 singles position.
Morey, who has a team-best 14-2 overall record, finished the day with three wins. He defeated Jake Greenstein of York College (6-2, 7-5) in No. 4 singles. The win was Morey's eighth in a row. He has won 12 of his last 11 finished matches.
Juniata hits the conference trail next week. They will face Susquehanna University on Tuesday, April 9 and then Moravian College on Saturday, April 13. The Eagles currently sit fourth in the conference.
