TOWSON, Md. – Juniata College men's tennis got to the .500 mark in Landmark Conference play on Saturday with a 7-2 win over Goucher College.
The win left Juniata with an 8-11 overall record, 3-3 in Landmark Conference action, with one conference match left on the schedule – next Saturday's road clash with Catholic University.
Juniata picked up two points out of doubles play, as Elliott Perow (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) and Tucker Good (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) combined for an 8-2 win at no. 1 doubles over Goucher's David Spivey and Nick Pelensky. The Eagle duo of Justin Wisniewski (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) and Brice Morey (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) also came away with a doubles point, dispatching the Gophers' Pat Murnin and Thomas Adair at no. 2 doubles.
The Eagles went on to capture five of the six singles matches, with four of the wins coming in straight sets.
Juniata's season-ending match against Catholic will take place on Saturday, April 21, at 12:00 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
