HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Juniata College junior Brice Morey (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) posted wins in both singles and doubles play, but it wasn't enough to help his Eagles to a win as they fell 7-2 to Trine University, Monday morning in Hilton Head, S.C.
After dropping the first set to Trine's David Murray at No. 3 singles, Morey rebounded to post a 6-4 win in set two. Trailing 7-0 and later 9-3 in the super tiebreaker, Morey eventually notched a 12-10 win, after saving six consecutive match points.
In doubles play, Morey teamed with Tucker Good for an 8-5 victory at No. 2 doubles over the Trine tandem of Joey Clark and Zach Richardson.
