Perow & Morey improve to 6-2 in doubles as men’s tennis falls to Frostburg, 7-2

FROSTBURG, Md. – The Juniata College doubles tandem of Elliott Perow (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) and Brice Morey (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) picked up its sixth win of the season, as the Eagles dropped a 7-2 decision to Frostburg State on Wednesday afternoon.

Perow and Morey dispatched the Frostburg duo of Matt Mansfield and Ramon Gutierrez, 9-7, at no. 2 doubles to improve to 5-2 on the season.

In singles play, the matches in the top three flights all went to a third set, but the Eagles (4-8) were unable to finish off a win in any of the three. Juniata's lone singles victory came at no. 4 singles, where Arnab Chakrabarti (Alpharetta, Ga./Alpharetta) notched a 7-5, 7-5 triumph over Frostburg's Mansfield to improve his singles record to 5-7.

Juniata men's tennis will return home for its next match, a Landmark Conference clash with Goucher College on Saturday, April 9, at 12:00 p.m. on the Raffensperger Tennis Courts.
