Juniata men’s tennis falls to Elizabethtown in spring home opener

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – A pair of victories in singles play were all Juniata College could muster as the Eagle men's tennis team fell to visiting Elizabethtown College, 7-2, Saturday afternoon at the Raffensperger Tennis Courts in Huntingdon, Pa.

Juniata (1-7) picked up a win at number one singles with Jarrad Silver's (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) three-set win over Elizabethtown's Manrique Arrea, 4-6, 6-4, 10-4. Freshman Scott Andrews (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Altoona Area) picked up his second win of his collegiate career with a 6-1, 6-2 straight sets victory over the Blue Jays' Michael Anderson.
