HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Juniata College men's and women's team battled Trine University during their annual spring break trip in Hilton Head, S.C., on Tuesday. The women came away with a 6-3 victory while the men dropped an 8-1 decision.

Women's results: 

#1 Doubles - Katie Healy / Maggie Wolenter beat Sobuke/Wall: 9-8(5)

#2 Doubles - Lauren Perow / Stacie Beegle beat Willman/ Steinmetz: 8-6

#3 Doubles - Hilary Walsh / Rachel Adams lost to Clark/Gosslein: 8-9(5) 

#1 Singles - Katie Healy beat Sobuke: 6-1, 6-2

#2 Singles - Maggie Wolenter beat Wall: 6-3, 6-1

#3 Singles - Lauren Perow lost to Willman: 7-6(4), 6-3

#4 Singles - Stacie Beegle beat Clark: 6-3, 6-2

#5 Singles - Hilary Walsh lost to Steinmetz: 6-1, 6-2

#6 Singles - Rachel Adams beat Gosslein: 7-6(3), 6-3

#1 Doubles - Jarrad Silver / Arnab Chakrabarti lost to Becker/Buchmeier: 8-4

#2 Doubles - Brice Morey / Ross Imbrie lost to Desper/Salsa: 8-1

#3 Doubles - Alden Hiller / Andrew Hoffman lost to Garrtka/Stump: 8-1

#1 Singles - Jarrad Silver beat Becker: 1-6, 6-4, 10-7

#2 Singles - Arnab Chakrabarti lost to Buchmeier: 6-2, 6-1

#3 Singles - Tucker Good lost to Desper: 6-1, 6-0

#4 Singles - Brice Morey lost to Garrtka: 6-0, 6-0

#5 Singles - Scott Andrews lost to Stump: 6-3, 6-1

#6 Singles - Ross Imbrie lost to Salsa: 6-2, 7-5

The women are now 3-3 on the 2009-10 season, 1-1 on the spring break trip. The men see their record drop to 1-5 over both seasons, but are also 1-1 in Hilton Head.

Both teams take on Emory & Henry College on Wednesday, March 10, continuing their four game, week long trip in South Carolina.
