Juniata men’s tennis rolls past Penn State-Behrend

ERIE, Pa. – Juniata College swept all three doubles matches on their way to a 7-2 win over Penn State-Behrend, in collegiate men's tennis action Thursday evening in Erie, Pa.

Juniata (4-8) began its rout of the Lions at #1 doubles, where Jarrad Silver (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) and Arnab Chakrabarti (Alpharetta, Ga./Alpharetta) downed PSU-Behrend's Elliot Blackstone and Jon Henderson, 8-6. Aaron Rhodes (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon) and Jonathan Skoner (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic) cruised past Jim Palmer and Brad Nagel at #2 double, 8-2, and Ryan Navarro (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) and Casey Chew (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) defeated the Lions' Erkin Nasirli and James Getty at #3 doubles, 8-4.

Skoner continued the Eagle rout at #2 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Palmer, while Navarro (#3 singles), Chakrabarti (#4 singles), and Rhodes (#5 singles) also posted singles victories.

Juniata returns to action on Saturday, April 5, when it travels to Washington, D.C., to face Catholic University in a Landmark Conference match.
