BALTIMORE, Md.- The Juniata men's swimming team traveled to Goucher College to take on the Gophers for their first meet of the year. The Eagles fell to the Gophers 62-49.

Hunter Mona (State College, Pa. / State College Area) placed first in the 1,000-yard freestyle by swimming a 10:42.62, two minutes before the next swimmer hit the wall. Mona placed first in the 500 freestyle and also in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.94. 

Evan Walker (Versailles, Pa. / East Allegheny) placed first in the 200-yard freestyle with a 2:02.98. Walker also placed first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:03.11.

The Eagles will compete again on November sixth to take on Scranton at Scranton.
