HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's lacrosse team lost to the regionally-ranked University Catholic of America, 28-6, Saturday afternoon at Gibbel Stadium.
Kolton Black (Mount Airy, Md. / South Carroll) managed three goals, two ground balls, and a caused turnover, while Jacob Wallman (Arbutus, Md. / Western Tech) tallied two goals and Jack M Loucks (Toronto, Canada / Minden) chipped in with one. Vincent Bechler (East Brunswick, NJ / East Brunswick) and Jake Rivoir (Greenlawn, N.Y. / Harborfields) added an assist each. Justin Toney (Westminster, Md. / Winters Mill) made 14 saves in goal for the Eagles, while Ryan Madison (Wilmington, Del. / Conrad School of Science) had three.
The Cardinals scored the first five goals of the game before Wallman went down and found the back of the net for the Eagles to get them on the board. Catholic added five more before Black scored off a nice feed from behind the goal from Rivoir.
Catholic continued to control the game in the second as they scored 13 straight in the second quarter and opened the second half with a goal a little under two minutes in. Loucks got one for the Eagles in the third, with Catholic tallying one more as the third quarter saw the teams combine for three goals total.
Juniata won the fourth quarter 3-2, with two goals from Black and one from Wallman off a Bechler assist to end the game.
Juniata will host Scranton to end the season Saturday at 1:00.
