Men's Golf Ties for Second at Turtle Creek Intercollegiate

LIMERICK, Pa.- The Juniata golf team had a strong showing at the Arcadia-hosted Turtle Creek Intercollegiate, tying for second place overall, while Ben Pintof tied for second place individually.  

The one-day event took place at the par 72 Turtle Creek Golf Course. Juniata finished tied for second place among 14 schools with a score of 311, level with hosts Arcadia. They were six strokes back from winners Delaware Valley. 

Ben Pintof had the best individual score for Juniata, finishing the day two over par with a 74, tied for second place from a field of 69. He started the day on the seventh hole, and he finished strongly by going one under par on his last nine holes, including birdies on the second and fourth holes. Pintof finished one stroke off the lead. 

Ethan Brown posted his best round at the collegiate level, finishing with a 78, six over par, and tied for 16th place. Starting on the ninth hole, he was consistent across the 18, going +4 on his first nine holes and +2 on his last nine. Kyle Rittersbach was one stroke behind with a 79 for a tie for 18th in a round that featured four birdies. His round started on the seventh hole, and he maintained par through his first nine holes with three birdies before going +7 in the second half. Harrison Levithan completed the team score, tied for 24th place with an 80, including birdies on the sixth and 13th holes. Kamden Clapper also featured with the team, and he posted an 85 in a round that included two birdies to finish tied for 47th place. 

The Juniata men's golf team plays this Saturday at the Dickinson Fall Invitational from the Carlisle Barracks Golf Course.
