HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's basketball team suffered an 81-38 setback against Susquehanna Monday evening inside Memorial Gymnasium.

Susquehanna scored the game's opening six points before Nick Rigby (Huntingdon, Pa. / Huntingdon HS) found Chase Husted (DuBois, Pa. / DuBois Area HS) for a layup to put JC on the board. The River Hawks tallied another eight consecutive points before Evan Eisenhart (York, Pa. / Central York HS) drilled a three from the left wing off a pass from Kohl Bernarding (Cochranton, Pa. / Cochranton HS). After Kyle Ruggery (Duncansville, PA / Bishop Guilfoyle HS) forced a stop, he came down and found Eisenhart on the right-wing, who canned his second three. A Tyler Lapetina (Collegeville, Pa. / Perkiomen Valley HS) jumper made it 23-10 with 10 to play. Two Mason Hardy (Gaithersburg, Md. / Our Lady of Good Counsel HS) foul shots cut the deficit to 11 at 23-12, but the Eagles could not close the gap.

The River Hawks closed the half on a 21-6 sprint as they sent Juniata into the locker room down 44-18.

Susquehanna cruised through the second half with a 37-20 advantage to get the win.

Juniata has another short turnaround as they will host Catholic Wednesday at 7:00.
