BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Juniata men's basketball team could not stop a late push by Moravian College Saturday afternoon as they dropped their first game of the year, 69-55, on the road in their first Landmark Conference contest. The Eagles move to 5-1 overall (0-1 Landmark) with the loss while Moravian improves to 4-1 overall (1-0 Landmark).
Junior Brian Scholly (State College, Pa./State College) hit a career-high six three's shots in first half en route to his career-high 23 points. Scholly went 7-for-12 from 3-point range. Fellow junior Kevin Stapleton (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) also finished in double-digits. He put up 15 points and grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
Juniata has one more road game before hosting the 2012 Doc Greene Tournament. The Eagles travel to Pitt-Bradford on Tuesday, Dec. 4 for a 7 p.m. contest. This will be the first meeting of these two programs. Juniata is (1-1) on the road this season.
