Eagles Struggle Against Lions in Season Opener

HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Juniata Field Hockey team opened the 2022 season at Knox Stadium on Saturday afternoon in a 7-0 defeat to the #15 The College of New Jersey Lions.

Brittney McMullen started in goal and made six saves in the contest. Amanda Puza also saw time as the goalkeeper, registering seven saves.

Juniata failed to register a shot in the contest while the Lions spread 24 shots across the hour of play.

The Eagles will have a chance to bounce back tomorrow afternoon, Sunday, September 4, when they play the Dickinson Red Devils at home. The Eagles hold a 17-20-3 record against Dickinson and most recently won in a 2-1 victory in 2018.
