ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.- The Juniata field hockey team lost 2-0 on the road at Elizabethtown, Saturday afternoon at Wolf Field. 

Blue Jays held a 3-0 advantage in shots in the first quarter, with their second one finding the back of the Eagle cage as their forward tapped in a cross to make it 1-0. 

Hanne Scheel (Furlong, Pa. / Central Bucks West HS) and Sydney Witter (Newville, PA / Big Spring High School) got shots on goal in the second for JC, but the Etown keeper was up to the task, stopping both. Brooke Franke (Shermans Dale, Pa. / West Perry HS) fired off a shot in the final eight seconds of the half, forcing another save out of the Elizabethtown keeper. 

The Blue Jays outshot JC 6-2 in the third, with Franke taking both shots for the Eagles. Her second was stopped by an Etown defender.  

Elizabethtown scored their second with 12 minutes remaining to ice the game. 

Nicole Piccioni (Richfield, Pa. / Midd-West) made two saves in goal for JC while Brittney McMullen (Shade Gap, Pa. / Southern Huntingdon) made six. 

The Eagles will return to the field this Wednesday at home against Susquehanna at 7:00.
