Bilheimer Named To NFHCA First Team All-Region Team

CHANDLER, Ariz.- The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on Monday announced its All-Region Teams. Senior Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) was named to the First Team for the South Atlantic Region. This is her first First Team selection as she was named to the Second Team last year. Bilheimer is also the first Juniata played since Paula Price and Meghan McGlone to be selected to the First Team.

Bilheimer was an offensive force for the Eagles this season as she led the team with 21 goals, nine assists, and 51 points. Her 21 goals and 51 points both rank first in the Landmark Conference. On October 20 in a 5-0 Eagle win over Moravian, she tallied seven points (3g, 1a) to go over 100 points for her career and became the fourth player in Juniata history to do so. She followed that effort with a career-high four goals in the Eagles' 4-3 victory over Goucher.

Earlier in the month, she was tabbed as the Landmark Offensive Player of the Year and was a three-time player of the week. She ended the 2015 season ranked seventh in the NCAA in points per game and 14th in goals per game. For her career, Bilheimer tallied 71 goals, 28 assists, and 120 points. In the record book, she is second in goals and assists and third in points.
