HUNTINGDON, Pa. – It's senior day for the Juniata College field hockey team this Saturday, Oct. 19 as they recognize the accomplishments of the 2014 class before facing Landmark Conference rival Moravian College in a 1 p.m. showdown in Knox Stadium.  With the league's top teams starting to pull away from the pack, the Eagles have a chance to secure a playoff berth with a win over Moravian.  Juniata (7-8) is currently tied for first in the Landmark with a 3-0 record.

A win over the Greyhounds would put Moravian out of playoff contention and keep Juniata's hopes of hosting the Landmark Championships alive.

"Our goal is to solidify a spot and go for home field advantage," said head coach Caroline Gillich.  "We just have to play great and score.  All in all, it's just another game."

This is the 21st meeting of the two programs since the rivalry began in 1993.  Juniata leads the all-time series 17-3 and has won 10 of the last 11 meetings.  Moravian upset the Eagles (2-1) last year, winning for the first time since 2001.  Juniata has been tough to beat in Huntingdon when facing the Greyhounds, owning a 10-1 home record.

Moravian (8-7) has lost four straight contests and are currently 1-3 against Landmark opponents.  They are led by seniors Chelsea Grotyohann and Keriann Badessa and junior Catherine Duffin.  The trio combine for over 70-percent of the teams goals.  Senior Andrea Eck has been the Greyhounds primary keeper.  She has started all 15 games, blocked 68 shots and earned a .731 save percentage this season with one shutout.
