Luc Polglaze

Luc Polglaze is in his second year as a member of the Juniata football coaching staff in 2023.

Polglaze joined the Juniata coaching staff in March of 2022 as the recruiting coordinator and special teams coordinator. He came to Huntingdon after spending three years at Kenyon College as wide receivers & tight ends coach, along with the duties of recruiting coordinator.

During his time at Kenyon, he added the title of Senior Offensive Assistant in 2021. During that campaign, junior wide receiver Andrew Schnarre was recognized as Second Team All-NCAC. He also oversaw all recruiting in 2021 and led recruiting events virtually during the pandemic. Polglaze recruited territories in thirteen different states, including travel to six to recruit. He was additionally in charge of coordinating the team's social media. In his first season in 2019, the team bounced back from a 0-26 losing streak, and QB Thomas Merkle received All-NCAC Honorable Mention.

During the 2019 campaign, Polglaze coached freshman WR Schnarre, who finished in the top six in the NCAC in yards receiving per game and receptions per game.

Prior to Kenyon, Polglaze spent two seasons as the running backs coach at Catholic University in Washington, D.C.

At Catholic, a freshman led the team in rushing both years Polglaze coached. Additionally, the starting running back led the team in receiving yards in 2018.

Polglaze began coaching in 2016 with stints in semi-professional football, before joining McKinley Tech High School as the defensive backs coach. He contributed to a defense whose eight interceptions were third-most in the DCIAA and featured the leading tackler in the DCIAA. The Trainers earned a playoff berth in his one season at McKinley Tech.

Originally from Colorado, Polglaze began his football career as an NFL journalist in 2012. He covered the Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelers and the NFL Draft. Some of his work was featured on FOX Sports, Yardbarker and Inside the Pylon.

Polglaze earned his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Colorado in 2013 with a certificate in leadership. He lives in Huntingdon with his fiancée Jamie.
