HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Landmark Conference has released its 2013 Spring Academic Honor Roll and 29 Juniata College student-athletes have made the cut. The Eagles are of at least sophomore status and have maintained a 3.2 cumulative GPA while competing in their respective sports. Among the recipients are 10 all-conference selections and four Landmark Champions.
Women’s track and field led all Juniata teams with nine honorees. Baseball, softball, men’s tennis, women’s tennis and men’s track and field each had four student-athletes recognized, respectively.
The Landmark Conference reported over 290 student-athletes on this years honor roll with 61 being seniors who have been named to the Honor Roll all three years eligible. Juniata had five such seniors in softball’s Jennifer Ashcraft (Bellefonte, Pa./State College Area), men’s tennis’ Brice Morey (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro), and women’s track and field’s Angela Shaffer (Prospect, Pa./Slipper Rock), Caroline Morgan (Havertown, Pa./Haverford Township), and Lauren Taylor (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee).
