Brittany DeHaven is in her first year as Assistant Athletic Director for Enrollment, Retention, and Student Success. She joins the athletic department after spending the past seven years in the Enrollment Office as the Senior Associate Dean of Admissions.
DeHaven wore a variety of hats in enrollment, with the primary responsibility of designing, coordinating, and executing all admission events and overseeing campus visits. She served as the primary liaison to the athletic department, which included biweekly meetings with the athletic director to provide updates on key performance indicators. In her time in Admissions, she also created and maintained a coaches training manual for all new coaches.
Since her return to Juniata in 2017, she has designed over 70 on-campus events and an additional 40 virtual events, managing the transition of all visit opportunities to virtual platforms during March 2020. Last year, she designed, built, and implemented three new scholarship incentives. This past spring, she led the creation of Camp College, which was held this July. Camp College is a program designed to introduce rising seniors to the college experience. In admissions, she served on the Enrollment Leadership Team, Operations Team, and chaired the Visit and Events team. Brittany oversaw all aspects of the Juniata College Tour Guide program for the past four years, represented Enrollment on the Operations Council, and was awarded the Presidential Citation for Leadership in 2018.
Prior to returning to her alma mater, she was the Associate Director of Admission at Fairleigh Dickinson University from 2012-2017. Before that, she spent a year as an Admissions Counselor at Transylvania University.
She also was an Athletic Academic Coordinator Graduate Assistant at Eastern Kentucky University, where she facilitated individual meetings to assist at-risk student-athletes, monitored their academic progress on a weekly basis, and monitored study table hours for all at-risk student-athletes.
A 2009 graduate of Juniata, she received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2009 and her Master of Science from EKU in Sport Administration.
