Mohnton, Pa.- Women's golf took a trip down to compete in the Alvernia Fall Invitational at Ledge Rock Golf Club. Ledge Rock has hosted a total of five LPGA Tour Events, providing a fun experience for the Eagles, knowing they are playing the same place as the best in the world. The team battled the wind and a challenging track, shooting 447 to finish in eighth place in a field of eight.
Madeline Bainey led the squad today, shooting 103 on a long and challenging golf course. Bainey secured a team-best T32 finish as she secured a solo par on the second hole. Molly Schweitzer followed Bainey, shooting 112 on the hardest course the Eagles will play this year. She battled hard and was able to secure a par on a great putt on the 10th hole. Kylee Marshall finished in 43rd place in the event, shooting a 115. Marshall fought the wind and tough greens enroute to gaining knowledge for the future. Jazmine Boland finished the day in 44th place at Ledge Rock, shooting 117. Boland, in her first year, will certainly learn from tournaments such as this. Izzy Slagle appeared but was forced to withdraw due to injury.
The Eagles head back east next Wednesday and Thursday to another Alvernia event, this time at Bulle Rock Golf and Country Club.
