Men's Track and Field Finishes Fourth at Landmark Championships

SELINSGROVE, Pa.- The Juniata men's track and field team finished fourth with 44 points overall at Landmark Conference Championships hosted by Susquehanna University.

In the 3000m, Evan Ulrich (Homer, N.Y. / Homer) placed third coming in with a time of 9:00.90 and Peter D'Amico (Hummelstown, Pa. / Hershey) placed sixth with a time of 9:08.30. In the 5000m, Ulrich placed third with a time of 15:50.79 while Vinnie Caroselli (Upland, Pa. / Milton Hershey) placed fifth with a time of 15:53.57. In the Andy Meci (Woodstock, N.Y. / Onteora) placed fifth in the 800m, clocking in at 2:00.77. In the 60m hurdles, Brenden Gardner (Muncy, Pa. / Hughesville) finished third coming in with a time of 8.97.  

In the 200m dash, Gardner finished sixth with a time of 24.09 while Noah Zolnak (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area HS) finished 17th coming in with a time of 25.59. In the 60m dash, Calvin Bembry II (Hagerstown, Md. / North Hagerstown) placed eighth (7.55) while Zolnak placed 15th (7.81). In the mile, Steven Glodek (Amberton, Pa. / Fannett-Metal) placed 13th (5:09.31). 

The distance medley relay, placed third with a time of 10:56.79. The Eagles placed fifth 4x200m relay with a time of 1:40.37. In the 4x400m relay, Juniata placed fifth coming in with a time of 3:42.35. 

In the field, Thayer Phillips (Cuddy, Pa. / South Fayette) placed third (13:49m) while Daniel Fernandez (New Oxford, Pa. / New Oxford) placed 11th (11.51m) in the shot put. In the weight throw, Fernandez placed 11th marking 11.81m and Phillips placed 14th marking 11.32m.
