Gibson, Kulig Score in Loss to Mt. Aloysius

Cresson, Pa. - Juniata's two goals were not enough to power over the Mt. Aloysius Mounties in Tuesday's contest. The Mounties broke a 2-2 tie late in the game and defeat the Eagles 4-2.

Mt. Aloysius took an early 1-0 lead just three minutes into the game.

In the 25th minute, freshman Jarrod Gibson (Abington, Pa./Abington) notched his first career goal as he beat the defender in the corner and netted the ball. His unassisted goal put the Eagles on the board and tied the game at one.

Shortly after the half, in the 58th minute, Mt. Aloysius regained the lead. However, Aaron Kulig and the Eagles retailiated quickly. Kulig (Green Lane, Pa./Boyertown) scored from 30 yards out to tie the game back up at two.

Despite the Eagles' goal, the Mounties took control and scored twice more, winning the game 4-2.

Freshman Ben Forgas (Manassas, Va./C.D. Hylton) played between the posts and recorded four saves. Forgas now holds a .600 save percentage and 15 saves this season.

Up next, Juniata plays their first conference game against Goucher at home at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24.
