Eagles Leaking At Sinking Valley

Eagles Leaking At Sinking Valley

Sinking Valley, Pa. - The Eagles take their A and B teams to Sinking Valley today to compete in the PSU Altoona Fall Invite.  The field features many teams in the top 50 in the nation. The Eagles shot 321 and 334, respectively, to finish 11th and 15th in a field of 20 teams.

Leading the way was first-year Ryan Hilyard, who turned in a composed round of 78 to finish T33. Hilyard started steady, carding a 39 on the front nine behind consistent ball-striking and poised course management. He mirrored that with another 39 on the back, showing grit through demanding stretches to secure a top-35 finish and keep his squad in contention. Ben Pintof followed closely with an 80, good for T43. Pintof opened with a 39 on the front nine, highlighted by a string of solid pars, before closing with a 41 on the back. Despite a tough stretch, his steady play and confident putting helped stabilize the team's scoring. Griffin Snowberger added an 81 to place T50, battling throughout the round. Snowberger posted a 41 on the front and a 40 on the back, showcasing resilience across the layout with several key up-and-downs to limit mistakes. Harrison Levithan rounded out the scoring with an 82, finishing T58. Levithan came out strong with a 38 on the front nine, fueled by a birdie and steady play, before facing a challenging back nine. His early momentum and competitive edge provided valuable support for the team's overall performance. Isaak Bloom was also in the lineup but did not post a counting score due to injury.

Leading the way for the B team was Kole Washleski, who turned in a composed round of 77 to finish T22. Washleski opened with a 39 on the front nine, highlighted by steady ball-striking and consistent play, before closing with a 38 on the back to secure another strong finish. Ethan Brown followed with an 81, good for T50, carding a 41 on the front and 40 on the back. Brown showed flashes of resilience, navigating tough stretches with confident putting and steady composure. Ian Nagel added an 86 to place T71, posting matching 43s on both nines as he battled through a demanding layout while finding rhythm late in the round. Colin Wible turned in a 90 to finish T89, starting with a 46 on the front before bouncing back with a steadier 44 on the closing nine, showing determination down the stretch. Rounding out the lineup, Nick McCann carded a 91, overcoming a difficult 52 on the front with an impressive 39 on the back that featured several well-played holes, reflecting grit and perseverance throughout the day.

The Eagles are back in action tomorrow at Sinking Valley starting at 9:00 AM.
