Women's Cross Country Finish Tenth Hosting Landmark Champs

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's cross country team continued the 2023 season by hosting the Landmark Conference Cross Country Championships at the Sunset Golf Club, claiming a tenth-place finish.  

The event spanned six kilometers, while the course was designed with a high degree of elevation change spanning across several holes on the golf course. 

Rebecca Christophel had the team's best time, finishing in 54th place from a field of 103 with a time of 27:44.62. Reagan Goldsmith's first time of the season was 29:25.34, good enough for 78th place. Justice Sheaffer's time of 30.17.73 earned her 86th place, while Beck Mensch was in 90th with a time of 31:37.56. Gillian Dell's first time competing for the Juniata women's cross country team saw her finish in 35:02.98 for a 94th-place finish. 

The Juniata women's cross country team concludes their season on Saturday, November 11th, at the NCAA DIII Mid-Atlantic Regional at Lock Haven University.
