Women's Cross Country Takes Sixth at Landmark Championships

COLMAR MANOR, Md.- The Juniata women's cross country team placed sixth at Landmark Championships, Saturday morning at Colmar Manor Community Park.

Azia Kalil (Bedford, Mass. / Methuen HS) led the Eagles finishing sixth with a time of 23:26.76, Julia Freimuth (York, Pa. / Cedar Cliff) finished 34th coming in with a time of 25:26.82, and Rebecca Herwig (Somerset, Pa. / Somerset Area HS) finished 40th with a time of 25:55.33. Mellanie Barnes (Chicago, Ill. / Holy Trinity (Ill.)) finished 41st crossing the line at 26:00.25, Abigail Echard (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin) finished 49th with a time of 26:51.20, and Jessica Aragon (Bridgeport, Conn. / Central HS) finished 56th coming in with a time of 27:07.4. Alexis Barge (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick High School) finished 58th with a time of 27:26.41 and Madison Steigman (Hamden, Conn. / Hamden High) finished 69th with a time of 28:44.10. 

Kalil was named to the Landmark All-Conference first team.
