WASHINGTON, DC-The Juniata women's cross country team finished in fourth place at the Cardinal Classic, Saturday morning.
Azia Kalil (Bedford, Mass. / Methuen HS) won the race with a time of 24:33.0 while Julia Freimuth (York, Pa. / Cedar Cliff) finished 11th with a time of 26:10.5 and Mellanie Barnes (Chicago, Ill. / Holy Trinity (Ill.) was 17th with a time of 26:38.0. Abigail Echard (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin) finished 24th with a time of 27:33.6, Jessica Aragon (Bridgeport, Conn. / Central HS) was 26th with a time of 28:34.8 while Madison Steigman (Hamden, Conn. / Hamden High) was 27th with a time of 28:52.1. Alexis Barge (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick High School) took 28th with a time of 29:48.2.
Juniata will compete next Saturday at the Lock Haven Invitational at 10:30 am.
