Women's Cross Country in a Three-Way Tie for Fourth in the Landmark Preseason Poll

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's cross country team was selected to tie for fourth in this season's Landmark Conference preseason poll.

Elizabethtown was selected first and recieved five first place votes, with Moravian in second, and Scranton in third. Juniata is tied for fourth with Catholic and Susquehanna. 

This season the Eagles will be returning three seniors, two juniors, and two sophomores while adding a freshman. Among the returners, Azia Kalil (Bedford, Mass. / Methuen HS) made the Landmark All-Conference first team. Joining Kalil among the returners are Rebecca Herwig (Somerset, Pa. / Somerset Area HS), Julia Freimuth (York, Pa. / Cedar Cliff), Jessica Aragon (Bridgeport, Conn. / Central HS), Abigail Echard (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin), Alexis Barge (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick High School), and Mellanie Barnes (Chicago, Ill. / Holy Trinity (Ill.))

The Eagles start off their season this Friday, August 30th as they compete in the St. Francis Opener.
