Women’s Cross Country Places Fifth at Landmark Championships

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's cross country team placed fifth overall in the 2017 Landmark Championships at Standing Stone Golf Club on Saturday. Juniata totaled 120 points.

Azia Kalil (Methuen, Mass. / Methuen HS) finished 10th with a time of 24:52.21. Allyson Kopera (Hastings, Pa. / Northern Cambria) finished 18th with a time of 25:59.38. Yanibel Collado (Freeport, N.Y. / Milton Hershey (Pa.)) finished 20th with a time of 25:52.68. Rebecca Herwig (Somerset, Pa. / Somerset Area HS) finished 34th with a time of 27:26.38. Abigail Echard (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin) finished 62nd with a time of 30:05.10. Jessica Aragon (Bridgeport, Conn. / Central HS) finished 67th with a time of 30:29.16. Alli Goulden (Wharton, N.J. / Morris Krolls) finished right behind Aragon with a time of 30:32.02. Vanessa Hurst (Ephrata, Pa. / Ephrata) finished 73rd with a time of 31:32.29. Erica Meehan (Amherst, N.H. / Souhegan HS) finished 78th with a time of 32:56.56. Elese Christ (Pottstown, Pa. / Pottsgrove High) finished 80th with a time of 33:23.32.

By finishing in 10th place, Kalil was named to the 2017 Landmark All-Conference second team.
