Juniata's Women Place Fourth at Landmark Championships

Bethlehem, Pa. - Juniata's women's cross country team placed fourth out of the conference's eight teams at the Landmark Championships on Oct. 29, hosted by Moravian College. Claudia Sacks (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic), Yanibel Collado (Freeport, N.Y./Milton Hershey, Pa.) and Allyson Kopera (Hastings, Pa./Northern Cambria) were the first three Eagles to cross the finish line.

Sacks finished 18th overall with a time of 23:47.99, about 20 seconds shy of her personal best. About 30 seconds behind Sacks, Collado and Kopera finished 23rd and 24th.

Meaghan Stewart (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) was next for the Eagles, placing 31st overall with a time of 24:54.03. Stewart beat her previous personal best time, set at the Lock Haven Invitational, by three seconds. Lydia Heishman (Keezletown, Pa./Spotswood High) also set a personal best with her finishing time at 28:16.54.
