Gettysburg, Pa. - Out of 25 schools, Juniata placed seventh overall at the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 15. Allyson Kopera (Hastings, Pa./Northern Cambria) and Claudia Sacks (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) were the first two Eagles to finish.

Kopera, Sacks and Yanibel Collado (Freeport, N.Y./Milton Hershey, Pa.) were not too far apart at the finish line, as they finished 23rd, 27th and 31st, respectively. Kopera recorded a time of 24:14 with a pace of 6:30 per mile. Sacks and Collado crossed the finish line only four seconds apart with their times of 24:26.1 and 24:30.8.

Rounding out the top five finishers for the Eagles were Azia Kalil (Methuen, Mass./Methuen) and Rebecca Herwig (Somerset, Pa./Somerset Area). The freshmen placed 57th and 67th. Kalil finished with a time of 25:06.5, while Herwig finished at 25:29.6.

Juniata will be in action next at the Landmark Championships on Saturday, Oct. 29.
