Women's XC Runs at Leopard Invitational

EASTON, Pa.- The Juniata women's cross-country ream competed at the Leopard Invitational hosted by Lafayette College on Saturday.  The Eagles put up some impressive times competing against schools from Divison I, II, and III.

 

Allyson Kopera (Hastings, Pa./Northern Cambria) had the highest finish for JC with an overall 24th place finish of 24:33.16. Fellow Eagles Yanibel Collado (Freeport, N.Y./Milton Hershey (Pa.) was 26th in 24:48.59. Amongst Division II and III runners Kopera and Collado were second and third, respectively.

 

Jecenia Duran (Temple, Pa./Oley Valley) was the next fastest runner with a final time of 26:35.63. That placed her 10th with Division II and III runners. Meaghen Stewart (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) (26:43.98), Vanessa Hurst (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) (27:10.19), and Alli Goulden (Wharton, NJ/Morris Krolls) (27:36.96) were 12th, 17thand 18th.

 

The team completes its 2015 season in two weeks at the Landmark Championships. USMMA will be this year's hosts.
