LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Juniata women's cross country team competed at Lock Haven University on Saturday. The team placed 14th with Allyson Kopera (Hastings, Pa / Northern Cambria) leading the team in 29th place. Kopera ran a time of 23:01.82.

Head coach Jon Cutright noted that the team showed improvement at LHU and gained experience that will help them as they move forward in their season.

"The front and back group ran really well," Cutright said. "Some of the best improvements came from the back group. It was the first time running 6K for some of the freshman. They'll get better from having run that."

The team will compete next on Oct. 10 at Slippery Rock University.
