Women's Cross Country Picked Fourth in Preseason Poll

TOWSON, MD – The Juniata women's cross country team was picked to finish fourth in the Landmark Conference this season in the 2015 Preseason Coaches Poll. Last year, the women finished fifth at the championship. The team averaged 25:27 on the 6-kilometer course at Goucher College.

With five incoming freshman and a roster comprised of primarily underclassmen, head coach Jon Cutright expects to see added depth and energy from his team.

Sophomore Allyson Kopera (Hastings, PA / Northern Cambria) returns after leading the team in the Landmark Championships last season with a 12th place finish at 23:57.94.

The defending champions, Elizabethtown College, were picked to finish first, followed by Susquehanna in second and Moravian in third.

The 2015 Landmark Championship meet will be hosted by U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at King's Point, NY.
