Women’s Cross Country Tabbed Sixth in Preseason Poll

TOWSON, MD- The Juniata women’s cross country team was selected sixth in the 2014 Landmark Conference preseason poll. The Eagles totaled 33 points and were just two points behind fifth place Catholic.

Moravian College headlines the poll with a league-high 70 points with three first place votes. Landmark newcomer, Elizabethtown College, earned four first place votes and 62 points. Susquehanna University picked up the final two first place votes and 57 points to finish third in the poll while the University of Scranton grabbed the fourth spot with 43 points.
 
Goucher College finished seventh with 27 points and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy grabbed the eighth spot with 13 points. Drew University wrapped up the poll with 11 points.
 
The squad will begin its 2014 season this coming Saturday when they travel to Lewisburg to participate in the Bison Open.
