HUNTINGDON, Pa. – After sweeping Landmark Conference Runner of the Week honors, seniors Nate Alter (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) and Katrina Woods (Shirleysburg, Pa./Mount Union) continued to rack up the accolades.  The pair were both named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South runners of the week, the organization announced earlier this week.

"They put themselves out there and were able to run the times," said cross country head coach Jon Cutright.

Alter and Woods broke program records at the Lock Haven Invitational last Saturday, running the fastest times of any Landmark student-athlete this season. Alter placed 17th out of 244 runners with a time of 25:55.0. Woods' time of 21:44.2 set a new Landmark 6K record.  She placed third overall out of 231 runners.

Juniata heads to the Father Bede Invitational next on Saturday, Sept. 28.  It is hosted by Saint Francis University and will be a challenge for the Eagles.

"It's a hard hilly course," said Cutright.  "It's a gut-check race where we can work on some toughness.  It give us another opportunity to get tougher in races, not necessarily run a fast time."
