Juniata women land seventh at Dickinson Long-Short Invite

CARLISLE, PA. – The Juniata women's cross country team combined for 201 points at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational in Carlisle, Pa. on Saturday to finish seventh as a team.

Juniata earned 74 points in the long race, with Caroline Morgan (Haverton, Pa./Haverford Township) earning the team's best finish of the day, as she crossed the line eighth overall with a time of 23:45.3. Katrina Woods (Shirleysburg, Pa./Mount Union) was next in line and finished her race in 24:14.0 for 16th place.

The Eagles gathered 127 points in the short race, led by a 40th overall finish by freshman Jecenia Duran (Temple, Pa./Oley Valley). Duran finished the race in just 17:27.8. Emily Wolf (York, Pa./Central York) was the second Juniata runner to cross the finish line and did so with a 18:15.8 time and earned 55th.

Juniata finished just ahead of its only Landmark Conference rival in the race, Goucher College. The Gophers finished the day with 215 points to take eighth in the team scoring.

The Eagles will next run at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Saturday, October 6.
