Foley Named AVCA DIII Co-Player of the Year

LEXINGTON, Ky.- Juniata women's volleyball setter Olivia Foley has been named AVCA Division III Co-Player of the Year. She becomes the program's fifth player to earn Player of the Year honors from the AVCA.  

The senior has already earned First-Team All-America honors for the first time in her career after placing on the Second Team the past two seasons. She earned AVCA All-Region honors for the third time in her career, and this season marked her first time as an AVCA Regional Player of the Year. Foley began accolade season by marking her third year on the Landmark All-Conference First Team in November. As it stands, she leads Division III in assists per set (11.19), while she is guiding the Juniata offense to the best-hitting percentage in the country (.297). In addition to her 1042 assists this season, she has 34 aces and 263 digs. Foley earned Landmark Athlete of the Week honors once this season (Oct. 30). Her 3166 career assists currently put her tenth in program history in just three seasons as the program's primary setter. 

Foley shares Co-Player of the Year honors with Hope College outside hitter Addie VanderWeide. 

The Juniata women's volleyball team will play Hope College in the NCAA DIII Women's Volleyball National Championship match on Saturday at 7:00 pm EST.
