Coley Named Landmark Athlete of the Week for Second Time in 2023

TOWSON, Md.- For the second time in the 2023 season, Juniata volleyball middle hitter Mackenzie Coley has been named Landmark Athlete of the Week for women's volleyball.

Coley earns the honor following a weekend where she helped Juniata to straight-set wins over Ohio Wesleyan University and Saint John Fisher University in the Wid Guisler Invite, placing on the All-Tournament Team. Across the two matches, she hit .339 with 26 kills, six aces, a solo block, five block assists, and a dig. In the match against Saint John Fisher, she hit .527 with 14 kills and five of her six aces across the weekend.

This is the fourth time an Eagle has been named a Landmark Athlete of the Week, with Coley (Sept. 11), Olivia Foley (Oct. 30), and Courtney Williams (Sept. 5) previously earning the recognition. It's the fourth time the junior has been named AOTW in her career.

The Juniata women's volleyball team begins postseason play on Thursday, November 9th, as they play in the semi-final round of the Landmark Conference playoffs. They'll play the winner of #4 Catholic vs. #5 Susquehanna, who play in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday night.
