HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's volleyball program has a longstanding tradition of excellence, as shown by their 13 straight Landmark Conference Championships, 39 straight conference championships overall, and 39 straight appearances in the NCAA tournament. They are also one of only two teams to appear in every AVCA national poll since its inception in 1992.

Head Coach Heather Pavlik and Associate Head Coach Casey Dale welcome one additional student-athlete to the team for the 2020 season.

Kiona Sky Rousset Hernandez (Rio Grande, PR/Colegio Bautista de Carolina HS)

Position: Libero

Club Team: Borinquen Coqui

Rousset Hernandez never wasted a moment as she played volleyball, soccer, softball, tennis, and table tennis during her time at Colegio Bautista de Carolina High School. During her volleyball career in high school, she was named MVP and Athlete of the Year all four years. She was awarded Best Defense her freshman and sophomore year before winning Best Offensive Player and Best Server her final two years.

"Sky is a wonderful passer, server, and defender who has played at a high level throughout her high school and club career," said Pavlik. " These experiences will make for a smoother transition to the collegiate game. She has an outgoing and fun personality that will make her easy to play along-side. We are really looking forward to having her in our gym and developing her abilities to their fullest potential."
